Hubei's private enterprises remained the leading category of foreign trade operators, making notable achievements in foreign trade, official data showed on Wednesday.

  Private enterprises continued to lead theprovince's foreign trade withimport and export value totaling487.4 billion yuan last year, contributing70 percentto the province's total foreign trade value. The number of private enterprises accounted for more than 90 percent of the province’senterprises that conducted import-export activities.

  To date, the number of overseas economic cooperation zones inthe province has increased to 11. Hubei has conductedtrade with 115 countries and regions, andhastransported goods to 187 countries and regions. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
